Learning Outcomes

1. Define and express accurately the objective and substance of the gospel message. 2. Effectively enter into an evangelistic conversation with a nonbeliever 3. Apply the general outline of the Bible’s teaching on missions, with its priority on evangelism and appreciate that priority. 4. Identify the key role of the local church in God’s plan for world evangelization. 5. Describe the predominant message, tenets, ceremonies, rituals, institutions, and sacred places of each religion referred to in this course 6. Evaluate the main strengths and weaknesses of each religion, and compare them with relevant features of Christianity. 7. Describe some cross-cultural problems that hinder and some cross-cultural conditions that help the process of effective Christian communication 8. Relate kinship, individualism, industrialization, and most importantly Jesus Christ to the future of Christian missions in all types of societies.
